Neurological Diseases
All neurological diseases face the blood-brain barrier and other similar barriers which makes it difficult to carry a promising therapeutic effect into clinical use whether the delivery is made orally, nasally, through the blood stream, or directly by injection into the brain tissue. Failing to breach these barriers can render ineffective an otherwise promising drug.
There are drug-, brain status-, and delivery platform (including device)- related factors that all affect the successful delivery of an agent to intended target. Therataxis’ technologies evaluate and integrate all these factors to render the best possible delivery strategy for a given drug, and to allow the clinician to include the effectiveness of delivery into an evaluation of a treatment plan.
